EXPECTATION vs. REALITY: Travelling with friends

College is really best especially you are surrounded by Adventurous people, especially when it’s time for semestral break or summer. It’s planning time again and there are lots of expectations that are never met by everyone.

Travel Time: When in Valencia

VALENCIA,

officially the Municipality of Valencia, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. One of its Attraction is the PulangBato, a swimming and diving hole with many reddish rocks. If you’re looking over the mountains and through the woods this is the best place fit for you.

SOME PICTURES OF ME FROM PULANGBATO FALLS, VALENCIA

If you’re planning to have an adventure, everything you’ve needed in your bucketlist is here. We have nothing to lose and a world to see. Let’s be adventurers sometimes. So this is how we plan to get there:

We were planning to stay there for about 3 days and 2 nights. It was Bacong’s annual fiesta, so we went there and of course to help us relax after our midterm exams. I’m so thankful as well to go with my friends since it is a doubt for me to go due to my parents refusal. So thanks for them for accepting my permission to go. 💕

so this is HOW WE GET THERE?

Since I am from Argao, Cebu it is much cheapier to travel since it is a 1 hour ride from Argao to Oslob, but if you’re from the city proper then the fare of the bus is around 150+,

First, we ride for a bus going to Liloan Port to catch up the Fastcraft first ride. It’s a 2 hours ride from Argao to Liloan, you can ride your own car or you can take the bus, depends upon situation. When you reach the port you’ll pay the fare for the fastcraft which is around P55 for students, just present your ID for validity. While waiting for the fastcraft you can take pictures everywhere. You can take pictures and enjoy the beautiful sunrise, charought.

Sunrise in the middle of nowhere

Second, after the departure from Liloan Port to Sibulan you can find vehicles like bus, jeep and tricycles. So we prefer to ride jeepney for a cheap fare:

  • Sibulan – Dumaguete   P10
  • Dumaguete – Bacong   P11

We went to Valencia during our third day stay in Bacong.

Lastly, we went to Valencia with a free transportation (Canter) it was 6 km. from Bacong to PulangBato, Valencia. Of course thanks for the canter because of that our fare is free.

on our way to PulngBato Falls, Valencia

But before we arrived to our main destination you can see a lot of Rambutan and Lanzones there.

And also you can pass by the Smoking Mountain due to the presence of sulfur vents that make it looks stunning and beautiful that looks like mini cloud descending to the land surface. It was a steam rise up from the folds of rocks and it has sour sukfur fumes that smell like a rotten egg. This steam is present due to Geothermal properties; the heat was generated from the active volcano, Mt. Talinis.

You can stop your vehicle for a picture taking

And after 1 1/2 km. you can reach the PulangBato Falls, Valencia. You can visit their mini office or accounting for the entrance fee for about P50. You can take a walk to reach for the falls which is you can see it directly when you reach their mini pool. And indeed, it’s nature spirit really touch my soul, it was properly manned for it’s clean surroundings and proper garbage disposal, and in case you’re looking for dessert they have their mini canteen stool for the foods and drinks available there.

At the end of the day, I search for the place because I can’t forget how I experienced PulangBato and how it impress these travellers like me to wander this beautiful scenery in the quiet town of Valencia, Negros Oriental.

IT’S NOT THE FALLS THAT IS ATTRACTIVE, IT’S ME.
